Session Overview

In this continuing education training, we will present seven clinical strategies focused on addressing contextual factors that may influence the mental health of Multiracial young adults. We will provide a comprehensive overview of Authentic Identity Therapy, an innovative approach to clinical care that integrates these strategies, and share the practical insights and lessons learned from our experience implementing this approach in an intervention research study. Participants will gain knowledge on the development and implementation of these strategies as well as the emerging findings from our ongoing research with Multiracial young adults (18-29 years old) experiencing anxiety and/or depression.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this continuing education training, participants will be able to:

• Identify seven emerging clinical strategies used to address contextual factors influencing the mental health of Multiracial emerging adults; and

• Describe how to integrate at least one of these seven strategies into their clinical practice.
