It’s the perfect time of year to learn about the ghosts and ghouls supposedly haunting the Motor City! From the infamous Nain Rouge to the Grey Ghost, we’ll explore some of Detroit’s most popular ghost stories. Who haunts a bridge on Belle Isle? What’s lurking in the stacks of the DPL? And is Harry Houdini still performing nightly in Detroit? As we answer those questions, we’ll also explore how we might use haunting to rewrite the city’s histories, creating ghost stories to bring forgotten people, events, and cultures back to life.
