Session Overview

This workshop will explore factors influencing individual and societal anger, and the role implicit bias. Myriad issues including physical pain in the body, the political climate & political dispiritedness, workplace anxiety/emotional dysregulation, and even changes in communication patterns have influenced individual levels of emotional well-being. This workshop will include evidence-based research focused on techniques shown to influence individual emotional well-being/happiness. Workshop participants will: 1) explore how to identify and pursue their Ikigai (life purpose); 2) explore implicit bias and research-based practices shown to influence emotional well-being; 3) discuss techniques shown to naturally stimulate our happiness hormones (dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins); and 4) discuss the influence of trapped emotions and how to release them to enhance emotional/mental health/happiness. Workshop participants will engage in a variety of techniques and activities designed to raise dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphin levels, while also learning how to sustain emotional well-being/happiness long term.
