Peer influence has a bad reputation. Sometimes youth behave in ways they might not but for the company of friends. Why? Because conformity carries valuable social benefits. Prof. Laursen will discuss how peer influence bolsters adolescent friendships, and what, if anything, parents should do when they disapprove of friends and their antics.
