WSUAA Travel 2027: IRELAND

Experience Ireland with fellow alumni through the Wayne State University Alumni Association Travel Program. This guided tour explores Ireland's rich history, breathtaking landscapes and welcoming culture, from vibrant cities to charming villages and dramatic coastlines.
The journey begins in Dublin, where travelers discover the city's historic landmarks and lively atmosphere before exploring the elegant Powerscourt Estate and Gardens. Along the way, highlights include the medieval city of Waterford, legendary Blarney Castle, the scenic Ring of Kerry and the towering Cliffs of Moher overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Travelers will enjoy uniquely Irish experiences throughout the tour, including a traditional evening of Irish music and cuisine, a horse drawn ride through Killarney, a sheepdog demonstration and an overnight stay on the grounds of a historic castle. The itinerary also features free time to explore local towns, visit artisan shops and experience Ireland's renowned hospitality.
This alumni travel experience is best suited for active travelers comfortable walking several miles a day on a variety of terrain, including cobblestone streets, hills and uneven paths. Alumni, friends and family are welcome to participate.
