Join fellow alumni in the unique Detroit coworking space WeWork as alumna Regina Ann Campbell, M.S.W. '99, shares stories of her success as a businesswoman in Detroit. Campbell is managing director of the place-based entrepreneurship business unit for TechTown Detroit. The event also includes a Q&A with Campbell and opportunities for open networking with alumni professionals. 

About the speaker

Campbell has directed the strategic vision, program design, development, execution and growth of the place-based entrepreneurship for TechTown Detroit. These flagship acceleration/incubation programs include Retail Services and SWOT City. She has a successful track record of creating economic growth by helping neighborhood enterprises launch, stabilize and grow. Since joining TechTown in 2013, Campbell has scaled place-based acceleration and incubation, worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs, assisted with the launch of multiple Detroit startups and has served as Detroit Entrepreneur Week (DEW) committee chair since the program’s launch 2012.  Regina's leadership has supported the leverage of $2.2 million investments into Detroit neighborhood enterprises.

Before coming to TechTown, Campbell was the senior project manager of Economic Development at the Vanguard Community Development Corporation. Launching a business incubator in Detroit’s North End to build an ecosystem to support entrepreneurs with resources, technical assistance, façade improvement and holiday market pop-up for sales and testing products. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University, a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University, a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
