Please join us next Friday, February 4, from 2-3:30 p.m., for our next First Fridays in Anthropology event! We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Eugene Richardson, MD, PhD (Harvard University, Brigham and Women's Hospital), who will be giving a talk on his recent book "Epidemic Illusions: On the Coloniality of Global Public Health" (MIT Press, 2020). Given the ongoing pandemic, the topic of this book is more timely than ever. As a physician-anthropologist, Dr. Richardson has a unique perspective from which to analyze the connections among global inequities, public health, and histories of colonialism and racism.

Due to high test-positivity rates in the metro area, we will be holding the event via Zoom.
