The Wayne State University Libraries will hold its first-ever campuswide Research Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 23 in the David Adamany Undergraduate Library (UGL) atrium and the new UGL Hub. The event, coordinated in conjunction with Open Access Week, will connect students and faculty with campus research resources and expertise.

Alongside campus partners, University Libraries will host a Research Resource Fair and a series of lightning talks covering all aspects of the research process at Wayne State. Faculty and students will have the opportunity to learn about the various aspects of conducting research, from understanding Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols and effective data management techniques to getting assistance with research analysis or participating as a human subject. Undergraduate students will discover ways to participate in research, learn about their rights as research subjects and explore opportunities to earn extra credit through study participation. The fair will also showcase resources for students interested in initiating their own undergraduate research projects.
