Mobile-Mindful: Expanding Our Teaching and Learning Mindset
This event is in the past.
When we follow the evidence for where and how students learn, we will often arrive at their phones. Instead of dreading that students use phones for learning, let's consider how to make our teaching and learning more "mobile-mindful." When we pay attention to how learning can (and already does) happen at many places and times, including our phones, we can increase opportunities for evidence-based learning. Let's start with identifying our own mobile learning experiences and walk through easy actions to be more mobile-mindful educators. Presented by Christina Moore, Associate Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Oakland University, based on her book, Mobile-Mindful Teaching and Learning: Harnessing the Technology That Students Use Most.
