2023 Tri-County high school exhibition

The James Pearson Duffy Department of Art & Art History is pleased to present its annual Tri-County High School Exhibition, January 27 through February 3, 2023. An opening reception with an awards presentation will be held on Friday, January 27 from 6-8PM. Members of the Department of Art and Art History will be on hand to celebrate students’ creative achievements.
This exhibition features approximately 80 selected artworks created by high school students from Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties. At the opening reception, six awards will be given to students for their outstanding artworks in the exhibition. The awards include First Place, Second Place, Third Place, three Honorable Mentions, and a Teacher Award. This year’s guest juror is Evan Pavka, Assistant Professor of Interior Design, Art and Art History, WSU.
Artworks by students from the following high schools are included in this year’s exhibition: Bloomfield Hills High School, Cass Technical High School, Chandler Park Academy High School, Detroit Country Day School, International Academy East, International Academy West, John Glenn High School, Lake Orion High School, Mercy High School, North Farmington High School, Novi High School, Oakland Christian School, Plymouth Christian Academy, Rochester High School, Salem High School, and Sterling Heights High School.
