BALANCE: Art Education / Art Therapy Exhibition

Wayne State University’s Visual Art Education and Art Therapy is pleased to present their annual student exhibition BALANCE at the Art Department Gallery.
The exhibition runs from September 27 through October 18 and will feature artwork using a variety of media created by current students. Each student explores a feeling of stability and equilibrium, reflecting personal and conceptual topics, as well as health and awareness.
BALANCE has been curated by Anita Bates (Assistant Professor of Teaching and Program Coordinator, Visual Arts Education) and Holly Feen-Calligan (Professor and Coordinator, Art Therapy Program) and features work by the following undergraduate and graduate students: Maya Allen, Aimee Frechette, Haneen Basra, Cynthia Bourgeau-Kherkher, Mary Beth Carolan, Mary Ciemerych, Asia Dobbins, Veronique Eason, Marigrace Francis, Aimee Frechette, Gabriela Hernandez, HiJiN(X), Blythe Miles, Kirah Price, Daisy Rivas-Rocha, Tasnima Sathi, Isaac Smith, Sophie Saadi, and Le’Andra Williams.
