Author Peter J. Hammer will speak at Next Chapter Books about his book No Equal Justice: The Legacy of Civil Rights Icon George W. Crockett Jr., which he co-wrote with Edward Littlejohn.

Crockett takes you on a journey from labor struggles in the 30s and 40s, through the Red Scare and the Civil Rights Movement, through Detroit’s urban struggles and the fight against Apartheid. Following the talk, Peter J. Hammer will be signing books.

Peter Hammer is the Director of the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights and a Professor of Law at Wayne State University Law School.  Next Chapter Books is owned by two WSU alumni, and is located at 16451 E. Warren Ave in Detroit.
