Who can we trust when experts give us dangerous advice?

Dr. Paul Offit is an active advocate combatting misinformation in medicine. He is a Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and co-developer of the rotavirus vaccine, RotaTeq that has saved hundreds of thousands of lives. He will speak to us about his experiences in shaping and countering medical narratives. In (very) brief, he is:

In this tumultuous time of medical misinformation and active disinformation, Dr. Offit is a role-model for those working in health care. He will talk to us about how to identify reliable experts, and how to counter disinformation. His own lived experience includes attacks against his personal safety and his professional reputation at the hands of misinformed, uninformed, and agenda-driven individuals. He can speak to the importance of these issues from both a highly qualified and a very personal standpoint.
