Join us for the 5th annual Wayne State Popular Culture Conference, co-hosted by student organizations Kino Club 313, the Wayne State Comics Collective, the Video Game Scholarly Interest Group, Knit/Lit, and the Humanities Center Pop Culture Working Group.  This year's conference will run from Friday, March 1st through Sunday, March 3rd and will feature academic panel presentations, hands-on workshops, receptions, a plenary speaker (Professor Terrence Wandtke, Judson University), a keynote speaker (Matt Yockey, University of Toledo), and a film screening of the 2018 documentary That's La Morte: Italian Cult Cinema and the Years of Lead featuring a Q&A with director Xavier Mendik (Birmingham City University). Most conference events will be held in the 2nd floor of the Wayne State Student Center; stop by our registration table (just outside the ballroom) for more info when you arrive!
