  • Explore best practices for addressing student disclosures of sexual misconduct; and
  • Recognize where to access additional information about support services, reporting options, and supplementary guidance.

Guest Speaker:

Brandy Banks, is Wayne State University’s Title IX Coordinator.  In this critical role, she coordinates supportive measures and provides personalized resource and advocacy referrals for individuals within our campus community that have experienced sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, stalking or sexual harassment.  Brandy connects directly with impacted parties to discuss their rights, answer any questions they have about reporting, and assist them in understanding the process for filing a formal complaint with the University and law enforcement.  Utilizing a support-centered approach, she strives to empower individuals to make the reporting decision that’s right for them. Faculty, staff and students may contact Brandy at 313-577-9999 or titleix@wayne.edu.
