This event will welcome Dr. Jaymelee Kim, Assitant Professor in the WSU Anthropology department. Dr. Kim is an applied anthropologist who frequently works directly with marginalized communities to address real world problems. She is also one of only about 125 active forensic anthropologists board certified through the American Board of Forensic Anthropology. Her work encompasses bioarchaeology, ethnography, and human biology.

First Fridays in Anthropology are inviting, accessible, introductions to anthropological research, with a focus on the significance of Anthropology for the public. Invite your colleagues, friends and family — these talks are meant to be accessible to a broad audience.

This event is held in-person and on Zoom, followed by an in-person reception.
