Virtual Brown Bag: Diversity and Global Learning
This event is in the past.
This year the Virtual Brown Bag (VBB) series is focused on High-Impact Practices (HIPs). Teaching and learning practices are designated as HIPs based on evidence of significant educational benefits to students who participate in them – including and especially those from demographic groups historically underserved by higher education. This session will focus on integrating diverse global learning experiences into your teaching. We will be joined by Colleen Ezzeddine, assistant professor (teaching) in the communication department, who will share her experience designing a course with a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) component. The VBB will have 15-20 minutes of recorded interactive instruction and examples, followed by time for you to ask individual questions. Feel free to enjoy lunch while you learn.
