Learn about the special protections afforded to children in a research protocol.  The federal regulations found in 45 CFR 46 Subpart D are very specific about when minors can be enrolled, parental permission and asssent requirements, the PI's responsibilities in protecting the child from harm, and the type of review the IRB must conduct in order to approve these studies. All of these will be discussed at this training session.
