The Office of Technology Commercialization at Wayne State University is pleased to invite the university community to a “Lunch and Learn” on May 5, 2025 focused on the patent process. Guest speaker George Summerfield, a patent attorney with K&L Gates, LLP, will present, “Protecting Your Breakthrough: A Patenting Primer for Researchers.”

About George Summerfield: He has more than 30 years of patent litigation experience, including matters in district court, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the European Patent Office.
