Are you interested in transportation and want to educate others on the topic?

This fall, the Motor City Freedom Riders will be hosting a three-part training program to expand their activist core fighting for better public transit in metro Detroit.

There will be one class each month, in October, November, and December.

The first, on October 7, will be focused on learning the basics of the history and politics around public transit in our region. We need a solid foundation in why our system is the way it is and how to navigate the often opaque world of local and regional governance.

We encourage you to sign-up and to invite others as well—this will be open to the public. The trainings build on one another, but you don't have to take them all to learn important skills for transit organizing. If you're interested in participating, please RSVP here. Details on times and locations are included in this registration form.

Saturday, October 7th from 11am - 2pm

At Swords into Plowshares Peace Center and Gallary
33 E. Adams St
Detroit, MI 48226
