Wayne State invites the entire campus community to participate in the Detroit Commuter Challenge, a month-long campaign to encourage more sustainable and healthy forms of commuting. Participating in the Challenge is easy. Do you normally drive to campus? Carpool with a friend. Do you normally take the bus? Try biking instead. Log your trips online during the month of May and you'll be entered to win great prizes.

Our goal is for Wayne State to be among the Top 5 employers the Commuter Challenge Leaderboard. Sign up today!

Commuting Made Easy

DDOT and RefleX recently added new routes to Midtown, and the QLINE and Detroit Bike Share will launch in May. See below for details.

DDOT and RefleX

New direct and limited-stop services to Midtown and Wayne State's campus are available with DDOT and RefleX. The one-way cash fare is $1.50 and you can pay right on the bus! Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly transit passes are available for purchase at the Student Center, Suite 011. Download the Transit App to plan your trip.

The QLINE

The QLINE will kick off its inaugural public run on Friday, May 12 with a weekend full of family friendly events to celebrate the grand opening. The walk-up fare is $1.50 which includes unlimited rides for three hours. The 3.3 mile route includes 12 stops and 20 stations between New Center and downtown. Learn more about QLINE safety, hours of operation, fares and grand opening events here.

Bike Share

Detroit Bike Share will launch in mid-May, providing bike share services throughout greater downtown. Detroit commuters are invited to join Detroit Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 19. Wayne State will host a Midtown pit-stop in front of Old Main. Additional pit-stops will be at New Center Park and at downtown at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center.
