On Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, the Department of Homeland Security issued a memorandum announcing plans to phase out the program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). This policy change has created a great deal of uncertainty.

Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to attend this information session to learn more about DACA's current status; options for persons currently participating in the DACA program; resources for WSU community members; and where to go with personal questions or for individual legal consultations.

Speakers:

  • Sabrina Balgamwalla, assistant professor (clinical) of law and director of Wayne Law's Asylum & Immigration Law Clinic
  • Rebecca Robichaud, assistant professor (clinical) of law, assistant director of Wayne Law's Externship Programs, and experienced immigration attorney
