The Detroit Orientation Institute at Wayne State University is pleased to partner with Detroit '67: Looking Back to Move Forward. In 2017, the DOI Detroit Dialogue series will help link the efforts commemorating the civil unrest of the summer of 1967 with broader themes that still impact our region.

The next event in the series will how and why historical sites or memorials come into being, and which historical perspectives are sometimes omitted from mainstream historical records. The program will include dinner and a group dialogue facilitated by Kalisha Davis (Detroit Historical Society).
