Attendees will learn best practices in designing posters for presentation at conferences as well as presenting information to a wide, general audience. This session is geared toward students and postdocs in the social and behavioral sciences and humanities. Recommended for those presenting at the Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Symposium on March 3, 2020.

Target audience: Humanities, social and behavorial sciences master's, PhD students and postdocs 

After attending this GPPD, attendees will be able to: 

  • Demonstrate understanding of the purpose and audience of abstracts, standard length and structure of abstracts in one's field, keywords and submission procedures. 
  • Identify and implement best practices in poster design and presentation. 

NOTE that to receive the micro-credentials in poster design and presentation, you must present a poster in the Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Symposium on March 3, 2020 and earn at least a median score in those respective competencies as determined by faculy judges.
