The Social Work Queer Alliance and The Association of Black Social Workers are collaborating for the special event “Crossroads of Solidarity: A Conversation on Intersectionality Centering the Black and Queer Experience” on July 15, 2021 at 6 pm Zoom. This event will focus on the intersections of the Black and Queer communities. Student organizers will explore this topic by shining light on the activists and ancestors that came before us and paved the road to the privileges and rights we have today. Presenters will discuss modern advocacy and how to support these communities as a strong ally. The event with a Q and A session and provide resources/recommendations to follow modern Black, Queer activists online, LGBTQ safe agencies, and ways to support these communities!
