This event is in the past.
Detroit, MI 48202
Join SSAUCE for our Black History Month event. This event is for WSU students to network and create bonds with successful leaders that could help advance their careers. Attendees have the opportunity to hear the success stories of panelists, ask them questions about the journey to success, enjoy lunch and entertainment, and enhance their teamwork and networking skills. The panelists categories include: young adult leaders, leaders from WSU, and prominent leaders around Michigan. Michigan's first, Black, female, Supreme Court Justice Kyra Harris Bolden will be one of our special guests on the panel.
SSAUCE is also partnering with Black Unity and the Wayne State Juneteenth Service Committee to gather winter clothing, toys, and school materials to donate to children. We will be accepting donations at the event, but there are other locations below where you can drop off donations.
By placing a donation in the box at the south door of the student center, you can join us. You can also drop off donation by going to an entertaining and educational black history event. All donations will be put into goodie bags on February 22 at 5 p.m. in Student Center room Hilberry D. You are invited to bring items to that occasion as well.
