Students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) are invited to present their original research in the form of posters and speaking presentations during the 2020 CLAS Undergraduate Research Symposium. The symposium takes place from 1 - 5 p.m. on Friday, March 6 in WSU's Student Center Ballroom.

A ceremony will follow the presentations and monetary prizes will be awarded to selected students.

Professor and Department of Chemistry Chair Matt Allen will give this year's keynote presentation. Dr. Allen's research explores the chemistry of the lanthanides relevant to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and catalysis.

CLAS has a rich history of research and — thanks to its generous donors and alumni — undergraduate students have this unique opportunity to share and be rewarded for their hard work.

Interested students of any CLAS program, or WSU students currently conducting research with a CLAS faculty member, may apply at go.wayne.edu/CLASResearch20 by the following deadlines:

Deadline to apply for a speaking presentation (only four students selected): Feb. 17

Deadline to apply to present a poster: Feb. 28
