The campus community is invited to join the Center for Leadership in Enviromental Awareness and Research - CLEAR - to their inaugural Research Translation Workshop - The Visualizatio of Scientific Information - Graphical Abstracts & Scientific Posters. The workshop will be held Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Conference Room 1A of the Integrative Biosciences Center (IBio). 

Judith A. Moldenhauer, retired professor of Art and Graphic Design in Wayne State's Art and Art History Department, will discuss how to use visual principles to design graphical abstracts and scientific posters.

CLEAR, a five-year, approximately $11.3 million award from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences of the National Institutes of Health, is dedicated to understanding and mitigating adverse birth outcomes and serious developmental health problems that have been associated with urban environmental exposure to volatile organic chemicals, a special class of pollutant found in the subsurface of post-industrial cities like Detroit.
