The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) funded centers, the Center for Leadership in Environmental Awareness and Research (CLEAR) and the Center for Urban Responses to Environmental Stressors (CURES) at Wayne State University, are co-hosting an environmental health conference, Innovations and Emerging Technologies in Environmental Health, on November 7, 2025 on Wayne State University's campus in the student center ballroom.

This conference will focus on innovative technologies and analytical methods and will highlight researchers who are moving the scientific needle forward to address the environmental health and pollution issues facing cities such as Detroit. In addition to the scientific talks and poster session, the conference will highlight community organizations, especially those that are interacting with Wayne State researchers. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Robert Wright from Mount Sinai.

The session themes include "Increased translatability of model systems," "GIS methods and spatiotemporal trends" and "Mechanisms of toxicity and remediation tools for emerging toxicants."

We invite abstracts for posters and additional oral presentations for any topic related to environmental health, environmental engineering, and toxicology. Please note interest for abstracts and oral presentations in your registration. We will accept abstracts until October 20th.

The conference is open to the entire Wayne State University community. Registration is required.
