First Generation Attorneys Panel

The Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA), in partnership with the Muslim Law Students Association (MLSA), presents a panel of attorneys who were the first in their families to pursue the practice of law will be speaking on how they navigated law school, the job search, finding mentorship, and things they wish they knew.
Speakers include Susan DeClercq, assistant U.S. attorney and chief of the Civil Rights Unit in the Detroit U.S. Attorney's office, and Soujoud Hamade, founder and principal attorney at Hamade Legal Consultancy and president of the Michigan Chapter of the Arab American Bar Association. Additional speakers may be attending.
