The Higher Learning Commission is the national association that conducts a comprehensive evaluation of Wayne State University every ten years to ensure the quality of our programs.
WSU has been accredited by the HLC for more than a century. Maintaining this accreditation will allow us to offer new degrees and certifications; sustain access to federally subsidized financial aid; and enable the receipt of public funding for grants, contracts and other programs.
During their visit, HLC representatives will ask students, faculty and staff about Wayne State’s mission and the current strategic plan, Distinctively Wayne State.
