The Keith Students for Civil Rights will host a movie screening to kick off the Wayne Law Review Symposium on the Changing Face of the War on Drugs. The featured documentary will be "13th," directed by Ava DuVernay.

Following the documentary will be a panel discussion on race and the criminal justice system. 

Panelists: 

  • Ebonie Byndon-Fields, lecturer, Wayne State University Department of Criminal Justice

  • Dr. Kefentse Chike, instructor, Wayne State University Department of African-American Studies

  • Mark Fancher, staff attorney for the Racial Justice Project, American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan

Moderating the discussion will be second-year Wayne Law student, Madeline Sinkovich.
