Join the Damon J. Keith Center in celebrating the life and legacy of Lawyer, Recorder's Court Judge and Congressman George W. Crockett Jr.

George W. Crockett Jr. was an African-American attorney, jurist, and congressman from Michigan. Notably, he served as a national vice-president of the National Lawyers Guild and co-founded what is believed to be the first racially integrated law firm in the United States. The event is being organized by Professor Hammer, a co-author of "No Equal Justice," along with our esteemed late professor, Edward J. Littlejohn, in 2022.

A screening of a short documentary will be followed by discussion and questions.

A light lunch will be provided to the first arrivals.
