The Secret Life of Things: Sixty Years of Museum Anthropology at Wayne State University is currently open at the Gordon L. Grosscup Museum of Anthroplogy in Old Main. In celebration of the Museum's 60th Anniversary, this exhibit features 60 notable objects from the Museum's vaults that reflect the breadth and depth of this institution's global collections, local history, and associated personalities. As an assemblage, these 60 objects showcase the diversity of cultures, technologies, and histories represented in the Museum's extensive ethnographic, archaeological, and archival collections.
The museum is open Tuesday-Thursday 10-5 and Friday Noon-8. The exhibit is free, though donations are welcome.
As we are kept open daily by volunteers, group tours should be scheduled in advance to confirm availability of a staff member for a guided tour.
