Join us for the

10th Annual El Nuevo Comienzo

Latina/o/x & Native Student Graduation Celebration

Wednesday, May 1st 2019

El Nuevo Comienzo is open to all graduating WSU students at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional level. The purpose is to highlight achievements of Latina/o/x and Native graduates at WSU. We hope to provide a space for honoring the support and contributions of family, friends, mentors, and the community. Through the ceremony we hope to also motivate future Latina/o/x and Native Wayne State Warriors to reach their degrees.

This is a FREE event where a special sash and sweet grass will be given to all participants.

 Time: 6:00 – 8:00pm

Location: 150 General Lectures (El Salón de Nuestra Cultura)

PLEASE NOTE this is not an alternative graduation, but rather a celebration of success. We strongly encourage your participation in the University Commencement to be held May 2nd & May 3rd at the Fox Theater - please visit commencement.wayne.edu for more information.

ALL ARE WELCOME!

Sponsored by the Center for Latino/a and Latin American Studies (CLLAS), the NDN Learning Community “A community of learning for Native/Aboriginal & Allies” and the Office of Multicultural Student Engagement (OMSE)
