The James Pearson Duffy Department of Art & Art History is pleased to present its Great Lakes Regional Community College Exhibition, June 28 through July 19, 2019.  The opening reception will be held on Friday, June 28, 5-8PM with the annual scholarship awards presentation at 6:30PM.

The exhibition will feature artworks by students and instructors from the following community colleges: Columbus State Community College, Henry Ford College, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, McHenry County College, Mott Community College, Schoolcraft College, University of Cincinnati Clermont College, Wayne County Community College District, and Waubonsee Community College.

Students with outstanding works in the exhibition have the opportunity to receive the following WSU scholarship awards: $4,000 First Place Award, $3,000 Second Place Award, $2,000 Third Place Award, and $1,000 Honorable Mentions.

This event is free and open to the general public. The Art Department Gallery is located in the Art Building on the campus of Wayne State University, near the intersection of Cass Avenue and Kirby Street. 

The James Pearson Duffy Department of Art and Art History is a division of Wayne State’s College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts, educating the next generation of visual artists, designers and art historians.
