Join the City of Detroit as we partner with Build Institute to bring you, Apple Cider, Donuts and answers to your business questions. You'll meet the Business Opportunity Team from the office of Civil Rights, Inclusion, and Opportunity. They will provide an overview of the Detroit Business Opportunity Program, sharing with you how to gain leverage in procuring with the City by certifying your business.

About the Detroit Business Opportunity Program

The Detroit Business Opportunity Program (DBOP) is an important component of the economic revitalization of Detroit and allows residents, developers, and businesses the opportunity to identify businesses based in the City of Detroit. We offer certifications for Detroit Based, Detroit Headquartered, Small, Micro Business, Resident, Minority and Women Owned Businesses. We also offer Start-Up Certifications.

Once a business is certified with the Program, the City of Detroit Department of Civil Rights, Inclusion and Opportunity (CRIO) will promote your business through increased visibility, certification and contact information on the Certified Business Register
