Journeys with Jerry: Two Islands: Bora Bora and the Galapagos.
This event is in the past.
RSVP is closed.
Join Dr. Jerry Dunifer, Emeritus Professor of Physics and Astronomy, for an interactive journey (Zoom video conference) to the islands of Bora Bora and the Galapagos.
The third Journeys with Jerry will visit two islands in the Pacific Ocean. First, we'll visit the Galapagos Islands, which are often linked with Charles Darwin. Animal specimens observed and collected by him from these islands provided the inspiration which led to his theory of biological evolution. The second island is Bora Bora, which is a tropical paradise located in the South Pacific. In the Galapagos Islands we'll see several examples of the abundant animal life present, and in Bora Bora we'll concentrate more on the lush vegetation found on the island.
Jerry Dunifer is a Professor Emeritus at Wayne State University. He was a member of the faculty in the Department of Physics & Astronomy for 35 years before retirement.
