Academic Stress Support Groups
This event is in the past.

Open to both undergraduate and graduate students, these group sessions are designed to offer students a confidential, safe space to practice academic stress management techniques. The groups are facilitated by an experienced Specialist who prepares the focus of each session with the individual goals of the members in mind. The topics discussed during groups will vary depending on group member's needs.
Examples of topics discussed during past Academic Stress Support Groups include but are not limited to:
- meditation and reflection to de-stress
- self-efficacy and attribution theory
- the practice of flow state
- creating morning and night-time routines
- mindfulness
- managing time and increasing productivity to reduce stress
- the importance of sleep and nutrition in managing academic stress
Group Meeting Times
During Winter 2021, Academic Stress Support Groups will meet bi-weekly Mondays on Zoom from 1-2pm
