Future Librarians for Inclusivity and Diversity Monthly Meeting
This event is in the past.
Future Librarians for Inclusivity and Diversity (FLID) is an SIS organization led by the resident Diversity Graduate Student Assistant Selena Aguilera and is overseen by faculty member Dr. Kafi Kumasi. The group's purpose is to provide a space for up-and-coming library and information science (LIS) professionals to gain a better understanding of diversity within the profession.
We will host our first meeting on Wednesday, January 27, at 7 p.m. Future meetings will take place at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month.
All new and returning SIS students are welcome to attend!
We are working on creating an Instagram, but for now, check out and follow Future Librarians for Inclusivity and Diversity on Facebook and our Padlet which has lists of various resources aligned with our mission from professional organizations, internal Wayne State University organizations and scholarship opportunities.
Please use this team's link to join us at our first meeting to discuss FLID's mission, get acquainted with one another, and see what this semester's future meetings will entail:
