All Wayne State Anthropology students are invited to attend the virtual Preservation Detroit - WSU Historic Preservation Round Table on Monday, February 15 from 7-8 pm.
This event is an opportunity for WSU students to get to know the work that Preservation Detroit does, learn about opportunities to get involved with the organization, provide the organization with feedback about preservation and planning issues that matter most to you, and hear about a few different career trajectories related to historic preservation from Preservation Detroit's Board members. The event will be an hour long and will involve a panel discussion featuring: Devan Anderson (PD President, senior architect at Quinn Evans, and former chair of Detroit's Historic Designation Advisory Board), Andrea Sevonty (PD Vice President, historic glass restoration and trade industry professional), Melanie Markowicz (historic preservationist, urban planner, and Executive Director of the Greektown Neighborhood Partnership), and Samantha Ellens (WSU Ph.D. student in historical archaeology, and Preservation Detroit's preservation specialist). Krysta Ryzewski (PD Board Member and Anthropology faculty) will moderate the event.
