As we are closing out the wonderful celebrations for Black History Month, it is important to look ahead to the annual celebration of Black freedom, Juneteenth, which comes this year as the country grapples with its long-standing history of systemic racism, nationwide protests against police brutality, and social and economic equality. Juneteenth is a unifying holiday; it forces us to take an honest look at where we are as a nation and what we can do to progress forward.
