The May 25, 2020 murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer sparked a nationwide call for systemic change and an end to racial inequality that continues to this day. Housed in the heart of Detroit, the Wayne State University School of Social Work has worked with students, community leaders and social justice experts to develop initiatives that empower social change in our community.
The School of Social Work Anti-Racism Committee invites the Wayne State Social Work community to come together for a discussion on how we can create a brave space for antiracism within our School community. We strive to be a leader in social and racial justice and we would love to hear what you believe are the major components that we need to demonstrate to accomplish this goal.
RSVP by February 22 for the Zoom link.
