What is Public Health?
Public health is the science of protecting and improving the health of people and their communities. This work is achieved by promoting healthy lifestyles, detecting and limiting health disparities, and researching disease and injury prevention. A large part of public health is also about promoting healthcare equity, quality, and accessibility.
Wayne State's Bachelor of Science in public health program offers training in public health issues and policies to students interested in a broad range of health careers. A public health curriculum can teach us about the safety and well-being of individuals, families and entire populations – both now and for generations to come.
This event will be hosted on Zoom. You can sign-up for a free Zoom account online here: https://zoom.us/signup
