Objectives:
1. Describe the hypothesized role of role of iron-related oxidative damage in neurodegeneration.
2. Review current evidence of MRI measures of iron as a biomarker in brain and cognitive aging.
3. Discuss application of MRI measurements of iron to study vascular and metabolic risk factors for dementia.
