Featured WSU faculty and industry alumni leaders will come together to discuss the rapidly growing field of social entrepreneurship and define the movement that signals the imperative to drive social change. Sheryl Kubiak, Ph.D. Dean of the Wayne State University School of Social Work, will moderate this engaging panel discussion, which will explore the differences between traditional social service organizations and the field of social entrepreneurship that is driving social change and providing lasting, transformational benefits to society. Our presenters will discuss the challenges of researching and measuring social impact, understanding the ecosystem in which social entrepreneurs exist and social ventures operate, as well as emerging themes in social entrepreneurship education.
