Title: Minimal integral models for principal series Weil characters.
Abstract: In 2000, Udo Riese conjectured that the minimal ring of definition for the principal series Weil characters of SL(2,Fq) the special linear group of order two over a finite field can be realized over a particular the ring of integers. In this talk, it will be shown how this ring is achieved for a finite field of prime order. Also, explicit integral models over these quadratic rings will be provided. It will be done by studying the Galois action on the integral models of Weil characters recently discovered by Yilong Wang. This talk will be accessible to graduate students.
