Pursuing a social work degree during the COVID-19 pandemic is an distinct experience with its’ own challenges and stressors. Between virtual classes, field placements, and the transition back to campus, there is a lot going on for social work students! The Wayne State School of Social Work and the Social Work Student Alliance (SWSA) recognize these experiences, and want students to have all the techniques and knowledge they need to properly DE-stress.
Our “Managing Your Stress” virtual event will do exactly that: provide social work students with key insight for acknowledging and letting go of their stressors. Stress expert Patricia Dixon from Wayne State Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will walk us through how to effectively locate our stress, shed our frustrations and avoid professional burnout. All BSW, MSW, PhD, Certificate, and Pre-Social Work students are invited to attend.
You are not in this alone, we are here to help! Tune in to our “Managing Your Stress: A WSU Social Work Community Conversation” event and learn from a licensed social worker how to tackle your stress for good!
