The Chairs Summer Leadership Institute is a 1-day leadership development program for Department Chairs and Associate Chairs. It is designed to build knowledge and skill around effectively managing, leading, and coaching faculty, academic staff, and students. WSU experts will share strategies and tips to navigate promotion, tenure, and salary review processes for faculty (teaching); provide updates on the 2021-22 flexible work arrangement policies; discuss campus infrastructure and building maintenance; and review diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. There will also be time for networking and sharing of ideas among Chairs/Associate Chairs.

Continental breakfast and a light lunch will be provided for attendees. Please note you must complete a campus daily screener and receive approval from the Campus Health Center to be physically present on campus.
