How are students experiencing the EdTech in your course? Evaluating if the technologies you’re using are serving you and your students well can be challenging. In this faculty-led session sponsored by the Office for Teaching and Learning, Silvia Giorgini will share how she utilizes technology to empower learners by giving them creative autonomy. She will present an overview of two tools she has used in her courses, ThingLink and VoiceThread, including excerpts from student feedback explaining specifically why they appreciated the integration of each tool. Participants will vote to choose which of these tools they want to dive deeper into for the remaining time, including creating assignments in Canvas. When you leave this session, you will have a framework for student-centered evaluation of tech tools and be familiar with a new tool.
